Soprano Christine Goerke and bass-baritone Alan Held, two of the world’s most preeminent Wagnerian singers, debut with MMF’s inaugural Miami Wagner Institute. The first year of this unprecedented program culminates with a return to South Beach's premier venue, the New World Center, in an MMF gala concert featuring excerpts from Wagner’s Ring Cycle and more. Amongst the world’s most in-demand Wagnerians, Goerke (“Brünnhilde” in upcoming productions at the Metropolitan Opera), and Held (“Wotan” in productions at the Canadian Opera Company and Washington National Opera) are joined by featured students from the Wagner Institute alongside the MMF Symphony Orchestra. This concert will also feature symphonic programming, including Strauss’ Suite from Der Rosenkavalier
